SRI Vidhyalaya is established in June 2015. School is affiliated to CBSE, New Delhi. It is upgraded to Senior Secondary School in 2023. It is under the management of SRI (Society for Rural Improvement); a Regd. Tax exempted Charitable Trust, founded in 1996 for the alleviation of poverty and socio-economic empowerment of the poor rural women, serving more than 50,000 poor rural women across Kerala & Tamil Nadu. The founder of SRI, Dr. Prabhakar, is a colleague of Dr. Muhammad Yunus, the Nobel Laureate.

Dr. Prabhakar, the Director is an eminent academician and social activist, having over 3 decades of academic and administrative experience. After more than two decades of academic service as a Professor in India, US, Europe, etc.. Dr. Prabhakar returned to the rural areas of Kollengode, Palakkad, Kerala and embarked upon alleviation of poverty and socio-economic and academic empowerment of poor rural women and children.
SRI Vidhyalaya hosted an engaging Planetarium show in connection with International Moon Day, offering students a captivating journey into space. Exploring a magical dome filled with stars and planets sparked immense curiosity and brought the wonders of the universe to life for the school.
SRI Vidhyalaya is proud to announce the successful conclusion of our Investiture Ceremony for the 2026-27 academic year, held on Wednesday, 1st July 2026, at the School Auditorium.
This formal occasion marked the official induction of our new student council, a milestone that underscores our commitment to fostering leadership, discipline, and integrity among our students. We were deeply honored to have K. Vijayan IPS (Supdt of police Rtd) grace the event as our Chief Guest, providing inspiration to our budding leaders as they stepped into their new roles.
The ceremony was presided over by our Director, Dr. Prabhakar, and our Trustee, Dr. Sudhodanan, who joined in congratulating the council members on their new responsibilities.
We are proud to celebrate the remarkable success of our basketball program at this year’s District Youth Basketball Championship. Following a series of highly competitive matches, our Boys Basketball Team emerged as the Champions, showcasing exceptional skill and tactical discipline. Our Girls Basketball Team displayed incredible tenacity, finishing as runners-up in a tournament that challenged them at every turn.

The FIFA World Cup 2026 inauguration at Sri Vidhyalaya was a resounding success, capturing the vibrant spirit of the beautiful game. Guided by the theme “One Game. One World. One Dream.”, the event brought together the entire school community to celebrate unity and athletic enthusiasm. We were honored to have distinguished guests, including K. Suresh Kumar (Secretary, Palakkad Dist. Football Association), Adv. Aswathy Das (President, Kollengode Grama Panchayat), C. Haridas (Vice President, Kerala State Athlete Association & Former International Athlete), Dr. Prabhakar (Director, Sri Vidhyalaya),Dr. Sudhodanan (Trustee, Sri Vidhyalaya), and whose presence added great inspiration to the occasion.
The halls of SRI Vidhyalaya Senior Secondary School transformed into a vibrant wonderland this Wednesday, June 3rd, as the campus hosted an unforgettable Praveshanolsavam that officially launched the academic journeys of our newest Pre-KG, LKG, and UKG stars. The auditorium was absolutely electric, brimming with beaming parents and the sheer, infectious excitement of our tiny tots, all gathered to witness a spectacular inauguration by our esteemed Chief Guest, Adv. Aswathi Das, the Kollengode Gramapanchayat President. The atmosphere reached a fever pitch during a mesmerizing cultural extravaganza where our young performers stole the spotlight with enchanting dances and heart-melting musical performances, turning the stage into a showcase of pure, unadulterated talent.
SRI Vidhyalaya’s Kindergarten Section organized a special learning session on Community Helpers, providing young learners with an engaging platform to understand and appreciate the vital roles played by everyday heroes. Dressed in creative costumes representing 39 professions including doctors, police officers, firefighters, teachers, and postmen, the children proudly showcased miniature props and spoke confidently about how these professionals keep our society safe, healthy, and connected. Through this interactive activity, the little ones experienced a joyful day of experiential learning that fostered early social awareness, gratitude, and a deep respect for the dignity of labour.
Computer Education, Science Lab, Library, Co-curricular and Extra Curricular Activities, Student Counseling, School excursions, Abacus & Maths classes, Cultural programmes, Professional Coaching on Basket Ball, Volley Ball, Chess, Table Tennis Badminton by the Experts, Health Awareness Camp, Resource Center for Slow learners centre and Science Awareness programmes are provided in the school.
