Reading! A journey out of illusion!!
Reading forms an essential part of a child’s growth.To inculcate the reading habits among the children and to create life long readers Matrubhumi Book Fair was organized at SRI Vidhyalaya on 27 and 28 Feb 2024.Wide range of books of all literary genres was displayed in the book fair. The opportunity to browse books of so many varieties and in a large number at a time was a wonderful experience for the children , staff and parents. The aim was to encourage and nurture the love for reading among students.
*Karate Next Level Grading Test*
( *Belt Exam*)
was conducted at SRI Vidhyalaya on 17 Feb 2024. The excellent performance by the 50 little champions bagged the yellow belt.
An awareness seminar on Indian Civil Service Exams and Indian Defence Exams was conducted by Palakkad Civil Service Academy at SRI Vidhyalaya on 10 Feb 2024. The lecture motivated the aspirants and gave an insight about the opportunities.
Around 100 students from different schools of Nemmara constituency participated in the informative seminar which was inaugurated by Hon MLA Sri. K Babu.
Afseena of UKG secured second prize in Palakkad district roller skating tournament.
Congratulations!!!!
History was created by our Girls and Boys Basketball teams during the tournament at Bharatmatha School, Palakkad on 27th and 28th January. The Girls Under14 team is the Champions and the Boys under 12 team secured a fighting second place.
The highlight of the tournament is Deekshit of IV Std selected as the best player in the tournament in the boys category and Vaisakhi of VII Std in the girls category.

REPUBLIC DAY CELEBRATION !
The 75th Republic Day was celebrated with pride and reverence.The ceremony began with the hoisting of the
tricolor flag by Dr Prabhakar, Director. The parade was followed by various performances featuring our
independence movement.
The highlight of the events was Quiz contest about our constitution, organized by the Social Science Dept. which
was very educating and motivating. .
Sports Day!
SRI Vidhyalaya hosted its Annual Sports Meet in an enthusiastic way on 18th and 19th of January. The chief guest for the day was Honorable MLA.K Babu. The flag hoisting was followed by aerobic dance, House March Past, Mass PT, Oath taking.The displays made way for the highly awaited athletic events where healthy competitiveness among the students took place. Another highlight of the day was the lighting of the Presidency Torch which was carried by Ayush of class IX,Sports captain.
The events included running, long jump, high jump, shot put etc
The days filled with sportsman ship enthusiasm and memories to cherish by adding staff events too.

Mathematics interactive session
An interactive session was organized by the Department of Mathematics to share their ideas learned from their training session. Mathematics teacher Ms. Archana. R shared the various tips in innovative strategies of Arithmetic concepts such as Effective
Teaching Techniques, Barriers to learning and creative learning in Mathematics which can be applied in the real classroom..
It was an informative and meaningful session for all the subject teachers.
Teacher learning is a continuous process that promote teachers’ teaching skills, master new knowledge, develop new proficiency, which in turn, help improve students’ learning.
Sri Vidhyalaya organised an orientation session for the teachers on 13/1/2024 Saturday.
It was an interactive and impactful orientation session by an experienced resource person from Aadi foundation, Coimbatore.The whole day session gave the teachers a frame work for moulding themselves. The motivating class dropped the thought of implementing the different methods in the class room teaching as well as self awareness.
School Excursion
On 15 December 2023, the students of KG to Grade 2 were driven in huge colorful buses to Marine world, Chalakudy. The children enjoyed all the activities which were lined up for them. They were excited to watch the different fish in close proximity.
A thrilling trip was arranged for the Students of class III to IX to Silverstorm.
